The Adobe Connect 10.5 release incorporates various improvements and resolves several bugs. Release dates Adobe Connect 10.5 rolls out in the following phases: Hosted services: Starts on Jul 28, 2019. See Adobe Connect Downloads and Updates to know the migration schedule for your account. On-premise deployments: Will be available from Sep 1, 2019. Managed services: Contact your Adobe Connect Managed Services (ACMS) representative to schedule an update. What's New in Adobe Connect 10.5 HTML client for participants The HTML client for participants has been enhanced to Support the display of various content types—PPT, PDF, MP4, MP3, Captivate, and Presenter files—shared by the Host in the Share pod. Display Whiteboard drawings and annotations. Support hybrid custom pods. Connect Central The search results and Reports tab in Connect Central are enhanced and redesigned in HTML. System requirements Adobe Connect application This update does not include a new version of the Adobe Connect application. You are prompted to install the new Adobe Connect application in the following scenario: You share your screen or PowerPoint (PPTX format) files without installing the Adobe Connect application. If you are an administrator, ensure that end users have the latest Adobe Connect application and Adobe Flash Player (version 13.0 or later) installed. March 23, 2024. You may be able to access the rooms if you are on a licensed or managed service deployment till you upgrade to Adobe Connect 12.6. However, for the best mobile experience, it's recommended that you use the new Adobe Connect mobile applications with Adobe Connect 11.4.6 or later. Classic mobile applications will not be available for new users to download from May 31, 2024. The new and enhanced Adobe Connect mobile applications feature an upgraded user experience. While we have tried to incorporate almost all the features of the classic applications into the new mobile applications, certain features have not been included as they were deemed less useful from the mobile user's perspective. The complete list of those features is in the above article. Yes, the new mobile applications fully support any licensed or managed service deployments from Adobe Connect 11.4.6. While users may be able to join rooms from older versions of Adobe Connect, upgrading to Adobe Connect version 11.4.6 or later is recommended for the best mobile experience. The names of both the iOS and the Android application will be Adobe Connect. While the Android application is already called Adobe Connect, the iOS application is currently called Adobe Connect New. The name of the iOS application will also be changed to Adobe Connect with the release of the next iOS application post May 31, 2024.

Adobe Connect classic mobile applications (‘Adobe Connect Classic’ on Android and ‘Adobe Connect’ on iOS) are retiring, and only the new and enhanced versions of the mobile applications (‘Adobe Connect’ on Android and ‘Adobe Connect New’ on iOS) will be supported. Users can no longer enter sessions from the classic mobile applications from the upcoming Adobe Connect 12.6 version. Key milestones March 23, 2024: From the upcoming Adobe Connect 12.6 version, users can only enter rooms using the new mobile applications. Any user accessing Adobe Connect 12.6 rooms from classic mobile applications will be prompted to install the new application.May 31, 2024: Adobe Connect classic mobile applications will be removed from the Google Play and Apple App Store. While current users can still access the application on their phones, new users won't have the option to download and install it any longer. For Licensed or Managed Service Deployments, rooms on Adobe Connect 11.4.6 or later will be accessible through the new mobile applications. For Adobe Connect versions older than 11.4.6, participants may not be able to experience all the features of the new mobile apps. We recommend upgrading to Version 11.4.6 or later for the best mobile app experience.The latest version of the app is packed with a host of new features and enhancements that will elevate your experience. FAQs As we upgrade our hosted clusters with Adobe Connect 12.6, if you are on a hosted deployment, you'll not be able to access Adobe Connect rooms from the classic mobile application starting
