The playable heroes of Battlegrounds are composed of various legendary minions, bosses and recurring characters throughout Hearthstone's history. They all start with 40 health (except Patchwerk, who starts with 60 instead) and are all neutral. In addition, some heroes have Armor tiers, which determines how much additional Armor they start the game with. The amount of Armor received is random within a range, based on the tier. Despite their original incarnations being voiced, their Battlegrounds counterparts do not make sounds at all.Currently, there are 94 heroes. Heroes rotate in and out of the game. Any retired hero may be reintroduced into Battlegrounds in another patch.Recently released heroes are not available for picking if the player does not have Battlegrounds Perks. They are exclusive to Perks owners for the first two weeks of their release. Note that returning heroes with new Hero Powers are not restricted to Battlegrounds Perks, even though they are functionally new heroes. As soon as they start transforming into heroes, the Cyclopes should withdraw and create distance.The Cyclops has the most hit points of any Classical Age myth unit and is the most powerful one. Its special attack is lethal to any human unit and the throw often causes collateral damage as well. The Cyclops is also excellent against buildings, especially when upgraded to the Elder Cyclops. Despite their slow speed, they are excellent additions to early-game raids, as their sheer power can be used to destroy important enemy constructions such as Watch Towers or military production buildings.It's best to use heroes or more powerful myth units to take out a Cyclops. They are particularly susceptible to ranged heroes such as Priests and myth units such as Wadjets, Petsuchoi, and Trolls, all of whom can attack from a distance. Furthermore, Cyclopes are expensive in terms of resources and population, so they are hard to mass, and the loss of just one is significant, but if well defended and regularly healed, Cyclopes will continue to be useful as the game progresses.
