Blend faces

“Face Blend” creates fillet/fillets between faces. You can create fillets between faces that not connected.To create fillet by using “Face Blend” command:Click the drop-down arrow below the “Edge Blend” to open other commands.Select “Face Blend” to activate command.Select “Two-Face” in the first tab in the dialog box.Click on “Select Face 1” in the “Faces” tab in the command dialog box if not highlighted. (At the start it highlights automatically. You can select the first face set at the start of the command)Select the first face set.Click the middle mouse button once to activate “Select Face 2” in the “Faces” tab in the command dialog box.Select the second face set.The preview of the blended faces (fillets) will be shown in the graphic window.Type radius value or drag radius arrow.Click the middle mouse button twice to finish command.Problem:I can not create a blended face between surfaces.Solution:The radius is smaller than the distance between face sets. Increase the radius value.Selected faces are not enough to create a blended face. Select continuous faces. For example: In figure 2, I select extra faces. Otherwise, the command might give an error, If I increase the radius value.The face directions are on the wrong side. Click on the face direction arrows to change the selected face directions. Posted by: , April 19, 2010 The LSS Toolbar created by created by Kirill is a great toolbar that combines many of Kirill’s plugins in one easy to use menu. It has been slightly overdue but now that its here it is a great addition! Kirill’s famous plugin is the SU Blend plugin that will blend or morph two faces into one object with levels (if desired). Though the new toolbar comes with many other useful blending tools. Included is the original sublend named “Blend” on the toolbar. In addition is the “2 Faces + Path” blending tool that allows you to take the sublend concept and blend along a path. Works really well and has many options to get the blend exactly as you like it. Another set of tools that comes with the LSS Toolbar is the control points to manipulate objects. This can be used to manipulate curved objects such as spheres. Though the drawback on these tools is that they can be a little tricky to use and get used to. First you need to set up control points (be sure to play with all the options first as they all do slightly different things). Then once you have control points set up you need to DOUBLE CLICK on the point and then you can move them in any which direction you choose.
