The new upgrade and the users seem to be happy with the overall performance of the iPhoto 9 with the release of the new update. System requirementsThe application is an in-built application that pretty much comes standard with all the Mac Operating systems. The only main thing is that the minimum operating system to support the new version of the iPhoto application was that you must be using Mac OS X 10.4 and above.Download the iPhoto 9 for Mac OSYou can download the iPhoto 9 installer file from the below link and make sure that you have the latest operating system for the Mac to make sure that you don't have any hassles in running the application after installation.Well the last version of iPhoto was 9.6.1. It has been replaced with Photosin El Capitan. Some have reported no issues importing iPhotos libs to Photos, Chimera tool for mac.however others have either had major disasters (and of course they didn't have backups)or the libraries would not import properly. What you may want to do, considering your computers, would be to get a small Firewire drive(500GB is small these days) and do an experimental install of El Capitan on it and see ifyour iPhoto libraries import into Photos without issue. Iphoto For Mac 10.9.5Also, you may want to bump up RAM depending on what you have. 4GB is really a bareminimum and should have 6-8GB.Also, this is just personal suggestion, you should also have a backup of your photolibraries on a drive other than Time Machine backup as well. When it comes to this sortof irreplaceable digital asset, there is no such thing as too many backups. Dec 14, 2015 1:14 PM
