Give me funny manga to read - Anime and Manga - GameFAQs

Summary Manga humor is often absurd and slapstick, contrasting with Western media's ironic tone. This makes many panels feel abruptly humorous in their delivery. Some funny manga panels may be lost in translation due to puns and wordplay – which is the case with classics like Inuyasha and Azumanga Daioh! The funniest manga panels can still resonate despite cultural and language barriers, and can introduce fans into new style of comedy writing. Manga lends itself well to humor, which means the funniest manga panels of all time exist in a variety of genres. The visual medium is perfect for characters having overblown reactions, but manga also includes more sly, subtle humor on occasion. Even darker, grittier series make use of humor as a way to lighten the mood between scenes. Newcomers, especially Western audiences, may be surprised by the style of humor most prevalent in manga. It tends to lean more absurd and slapstick, which contrasts sharply with the ironic tone of Western media. Additionally, some panels that include puns or wordplay may be lost in translation. The funniest manga panels always stick the landing in spite of cultural and language barriers. 10 Kagome's Friends Roast Americans in a Hilarious Mistranslation Inuyasha (Chapter 139 - "The Pair's Feelings") Publisher Shogakukan Creator Rumiko Takahashi Where to Read Online Viz Occasionally, even official manga translations miss the mark. This is hilariously evident in Inuyasha, when Kagome is describing the titular dog demon to her friends. "American" appears to be a mistranslation of "yankee", which is another word for a delinquent in Japanese culture. As the translation stands, Takahashi appears to be roasting the stereotypical American personality. In addition to this unintentionally funny scene, Inuyasha is chock-full of physical comedy and snarky remarks between its leads that make this historical fantasy series a must-read. READ ONLINE 9 Patalliro Loves to Get Under Bancoran's Skin Patalliro! (Chapter 1 - "Bishounen Killer") Publisher Hakusensha Creator Mineo Maya Where to Read Online Unavailable An agent for the British MI6, Jack Barbarosa Bancoran is perpetually unruffled, true to his James Bond-esque nature. That all changes when he is assigned to protect the 10-year-old king of Malynera, Patalliro. Bancoran considers Patalliro to be the most annoying and off-putting kid he has ever met. The endless spats between Bancoran and Patalliro are, in addition to the manga's LGBTQ+ themes, the heart of Maya's series. It takes a special kind of person to make Bancoran lose his cool, and Patalliro can do it within seconds. Berserk (Chapter 50 - "Infiltrating Wyndham, Chapter 2") Publisher Dark Horse Creator Kentaro Miura Where to Read Online Unavailable For such a dark and emotionally-devastating series, Berserk manages to seamlessly weave in genuine humor. For example, during the mission to rescue Griffith from being tortured, Guts and Casca share this playfully slapstick interaction. Some consider it a cheeky throwback to volumes past, when these two did not always get along. Additionally, it's a testament to Miura's ability to balance angst and endearing scenes between characters. @anime @demonslayer @attackontitans,anime,best comedy manga to read, comedy, comedy manga to read, comedy videos, daniel park, funny, funny manhwa, funny manhwa rec Fans who are aware of the pain that Guts and Casca have yet to experience in Berserk can look back on such panels as moments of respite. 7 Chiyo-chichi is Funny in Both Appearance and Dialogue Azumanga Daioh (Chapter 24.5 - "Consultation") Publisher Yen Press Creator Kiyohiko Azuma Where to Read Online Unavailable Azumanga Daioh is one of the weirdest slice-of-life series and has long been praised for its comedic timing. In short, this manga has no shortage of funny panels. Some of the best are reserved for Chiyo-chichi, a cat-like creature who claims he is the father of the protagonist, Chiyo. He's not a real cat, but he claims cat status when it suits him, such as when he's asked for help in choosing the right college. Chiyo-chichi's memorable quips, in addition to his off-putting gaze, make him one of the funniest critter companions in manga. 6 Fai Playfully Makes Fun of an Action Hero Trope Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle (Chapter 206 - "The Current Future") Publisher Kodansha Creator CLAMP Where to Read Online Unavailable Fai always knows how to push Kurogane's buttons. His ability to do so lies in their opposing personalities – Fai is playful and mysterious, while Kurogane is no-nonsense. In one hysterically funny panel, Fai pokes fun at the trope of shonen action heroes who announce their techniques before they perform them. Judging by Kurogane's deep-set frown, he is not amused by Fai's observation. Tsubasa is one of the best retro isekai, and that is in part due to its humor. 5 Kaoru Gets Overly Possessive of His AI Skateboard Sk8 Chill Out! (Line 1) Publisher Kadokawa Shoten Creator Toriyasu Where to Read Online Unavailable In the gag manga based on the Sk8 the Infinity anime, Kaoru takes his obsession with his AI skateboard, Carla, to a whole new level. When Kaoru meets Langa Hasegawa for the first time in the anime, he politely rejects Langa for a position at his calligraphy studio. In Chill Out's version, Kaoru suspects the empty-headed Langa of something more nefarious. In other words, the anime's running gag of Carla being Kaoru's "robot girlfriend" is exaggerated here to hilarious effect. 4 Uramichi Can't Maintain His Child-Friendly Persona for Long Life Lessons With Uramichi-Oniisan (Chapter 7 - "When Worry Becomes Anxiety") Publisher Ichijinsha Creator Gaku Kuze Where to Read Online Unavailable Adulthood is soul-sucking – or so says Omota Uramichi, a children's TV show host whose quarter-life crisis is the overarching theme of Kuze's manga. Uramichi secretly cares a lot about the kids he teaches, which is perhaps why he can't be phony with them about the realities of adulthood. The goofy nihilism of Uramichi-Oniisan is uncommon in a manga series, but has also helped make it more accessible to Western audiences, who are accustomed to that type of humor. Millennials and young professionals have praised the series for being uproariously funny and relatable. 3 Tamaki Thinks His Trauma Makes Him More Mysterious Ouran High School Host Club (Chapter 62) Publisher Viz

Good debut anime. The characters are designed like manga. Anyone who has read the manga will know that Spy x Family is a very funny, fun and heartwarming manga. Anya is a very cute and funny character. The productions trust Wit Studio and CloverWorks.ram_totApr 9, 2022Permalink10/10Loving it so far, it's pretty cool, cute and wholesome, sometimes thrilling! Anya's expressions are priceless. WIT and Cloverworks are a golden partnership and they really brought out the best of both studios in the art style they went for. Can't wait to see how this turns out to be (although i feel it will always be epic).joshuaedge11Apr 11, 2022Permalink7/10Generally, i really liked it and enjoyed at the same amount. But i don't understand why people like this anime so much on social media. It's being overrated and overhyped at the same time.Yeah, it's pretty a good comedy show and has some really interesting story. Besides it has some good animation not like seven deadly sins. Moreover we have a girl named Anya and she is just so cute. But in the end probably i will have forgotten this anime like in 1 or 2 months. Still i am recommending Spy X Family, you will have a good time. Thanks for reading.efee_puiyiJul 26, 2022PermalinkIf you're tired of Netflix shows where you end up hating everyone, I'd encourage you to give this show a try.Very heartwarming and endearing characters with just the right amount of humor. So far, each episode has ended with a smile on my face and feeling better for having watched it.BerryDingleMay 17, 2022Permalink5/10I read the manga, and while it seems to be a good adaptation of it, I just don't get where a lot of the praise is coming from. It's a charming and wholesome story, but that's about it. I had a good time reading the manga but it baffles me when people call it "genius" or a "masterpiece". Narratively there's
