Inkscape is more than enough to create vector drawings, being based on the SVG standardized file format. Inkscape is a program specially designed for editing or creation of vector graphics. The format used by the application is a W3C standard, SVG. It offers a large number of elements recognized by this format : basic shapes , paths, clones , transformations, Boolean operations , gradients , groups , layers. The basic functionalities of this standard are available as adding text, creating forms, duplication, transparency, changes or gradients. However Inkscape provides interesting tools such as support for metadata Creative Commons, layers, complex paths, etc. The application also allows the import of documents in EPS, Postscript, JPEG, PNG or TIF. The backup will be in PNG format or other, depending on the future use of each image. Inkscape offer the possibility to create web pages: the text can be added in the drawings for the information or descriptions and formatting Text varies according to needs of the user. The interface is developed using the GTK libraries, popular Linux. This choice facilitates porting an operating system to another. Using GIMP. And compared to other software on this list DigiKam has higher system requirements.InkscapeInkscape is an open-source vector graphics editor, it’s more of an illustrator as compared to a photo manipulation software. The interface of Inkscape is a little cluttered. But when you get used to it, it can offer quite a lot of features. Inkscape supports a lot of files and you can also apply a huge number of filters.Minimum System Requirements of InkscapeInkscape requires a processor of 1 GHz and a minimum of 256 MB RAM. Inkscape requires 302 MB and Inkscape Control Console requires 869 MB in total it requires 1171 MB.The drawback of Inkscape for some may be its use, as it’s more of a graphics editor than a photo editor.Pixlr Xsource: blog.pixlr.comPixlr X is a browser-based photo editor, so you will need to install it on your system. Adobe Illustrator is the default choice for anyone who needs high-quality graphic design software. But Adobe's subscription model is pretty expensive, and you can't use Illustrator online—it only works on Windows and Mac. If you're a hobbyist on a budget, use Linux or a Chromebook, or want a more mobile option, what can you do? Fortunately, there are plenty of free, browser-based Adobe Illustrator alternatives you can try. Not only do you not have to pay for them, but they'll work on any device running any operating system. That makes them probably the closest you'll get to Adobe Illustrator online. 1. Vectr With support for all major browsers as well as a downloadable extension for the Chrome browser, Vectr is a simple tool for creating quick vector designs. It isn't as feature-rich as some of its rivals, but that means there's a shorter learning curve. And it has strengths for particular types of usage. Vectr is especially good for creating social media cover pages. There are preset document sizes, and it's easy to import photos and add your own text on top. There's seamless cloud integration too. Every image has its own URL that you can share with anyone, or you can export your finished work in the SVG, PNG, and JPEG formats. 2. Inkscape Inkscape has long been established as one of the best free Illustrator alternatives. While it's always been a desktop program, you can also use it in-browser through the RollApp service. The effect is a little strange, since you get the full desktop UI crammed into a browser window. However, once you switch the browser to full-screen mode, it works much better. Inkscape is a powerful piece of software. There's a learning curve, both in terms of mastering its tools and in that it uses a whole different set of keyboard shortcuts. It's also a tad slow. Using Inkscape with RollApp is ideal when you need to edit on the go, but in most cases, you're better off installing the desktop software. 3.
