Please help. #2 You bricked it. You have to get the device into fast boot to flash correct filesSent from my Kindle Fire HD 7 running PAC-man #3 This is going to be harder to fix from windows rather than linux, open a command prompt and cd into the kindle fire first aid directory, run fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product once you run this it should say waiting for device, now plug the kindle in while it is off, if it continues to say waiting for device and not go into fastboot, you are going to have to download the drivers in my signature and extract them somewhere, then open the device manager, plug the kindle in again while its off, you should briefly see a jem device pop up, right click it hit update driver, point it to where you extracted my drivers, if you can get them to install then run the command again while the device is off and unplugged and plug it in while its off, it should go into fastboot and you can reflash the bootloader and such from there. #4 My kindle still dont go the fastboot fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product Dear Stunts513,I try update adb divers and success.Next, I follow step by step, use cmd in KFFistAide and type fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product. after, I plug in USB in kindle fire while still off. and then, I turn on the kinlde after see , but NOTHING CHANCEI try any thing. Books Kindle for PC and Kindle for Mac use the new KFX format, which is incompatible with calibre. These books will appear in a subdirectory of the "My Kindle Content" folder, will import into calibre as "AZW" format, and will fail to convert with the error: "KFXError: This is an Amazon KFX book. It cannot be processed."The following descriptions apply both to Kindle for PC and Kindle for Mac unless one mentioned explicitly.Method 1 - Revert to an older version of Kindle for PC/MacAt the moment Kindle version 1.17 is still available from Amazon and can be installed to work around this problem. I suggest following steps:Launch Kindle and under the menu choice "Tools", "Options", "General", uncheck "Automatically install updates when they are available without asking me."Exit the Kindle program.Delete the contents of the "My Kindle Content" folder within your "Documents" folder.Download version 1.17 of Kindle. It is safest to download it directly from Amazon, instead of going to a third party site. Direct links are for PC and for Mac.Install the downloaded version 1.17 software.Launch it and check that the option to automatically install updates is still turned off.Kindle may need to be registered by signing in to your Amazon account within the program. Some users have reported being unable to sign in to their Amazon account within Kindle for PC once version 1.17 is reinstalled. If that occurs go to the Amazon website and on the manage your content and devices page, and on the "Your Devices" tab locate "Kindle for PC" (or Mac) and deregister it using the "..." "Actions" menu. Wait a few minutes for it to take affect and try to sign in again. (If all else fails then re-install and register again and start over with step 1.)If asked if you want to update to the new version always reject it. ("Skip" the update.)Re-download your books and import into calibre as before.Method 2 - Disable KFX support in Kindle for PC/MacAs an alternative, a method is available to prevent version 1.19 (and possibly version 1.20) from making use of KFX format.Exit the Kindle version 1.19 program.Open a command window (PC) or terminal window (Mac).Cut and paste the appropriate command for your operating system to disable the renderer-test program.PC: Code: ren %localappdata%\Amazon\Kindle\application\renderer-test.exe renderer-test.xxxMac: Code: chmod -x /Applications/Kindle.app/Contents/MacOS/renderer-testAfter restarting the Kindle program any books previously downloaded in KFX format will no longer open. You will need to remove them from your device and re-download them. Your tablet (Kindle or Galaxy) uses the Android Operating System.Adobe stopped ALL development of Flash for Android last year. (July 2012) That includes Kindle as well as Samsung Tablets. Additionally, Samsung and Amazon have ended support for Flash in ALL of their newest tablet models. The following is from Samsung Support (07/31/2013):"Beginning August 15, 2012 we will use the configuration settings in the Google Play Store to limit continued access to Flash Player updates to only those devices that have Flash Player already installed. Devices that do not have Flash Player already installed are increasingly likely to be incompatible with Flash Player and will no longer be able to install it from the Google Play Store after August 15th, 2012."And from Kindle Support (07/31/2013):"The Amazon Silk web browser on Kindle Fire 1st Generation supports some, but not all, versions of Flash. Adobe Flash is pre-installed on a 1st Generation Kindle Fire and is disabled by default. If you see a message to install Flash while using your Kindle Fire, this means that the content you're attempting to view uses Flash. If you want to view the content, you'll need to enable Flash through the Silk settings menu.If a web page suffers from slow performance due to Flash, or you're unable to view a web page with Flash enabled, we recommend switching to mobile view when browsing a Flash-heavy website to see if that solves your problem:Some popular websites may also have an app available. Check Amazon Appstore, accessible through the Apps library on your Kindle Fire, for availability. The Amazon Silk web browser on Kindle Fire 2nd Generation, Kindle Fire HD 7", and Kindle Fire HD 8.9" doesn't support Flash. Some sites use alternative web technologies to Flash in their mobile versions. We recommend switching to mobile view when browsing a website with Flash content to see if that solves your problem:Some popular websites may also have an app available. Check Amazon Appstore, accessible through the Apps or Games library on your Kindle Fire, for availability."See: html There are older versions of Flash Player (for Android) at that link, but there are no guarantees any of them will work.See also: "How do I manually install Flash Player on my Android device?"You can find info about "Dolphin" for Android at: It seems to be the browser of choice to play Flash content on an Android device. Also, check the Android forums to see what their "gurus" recommend.. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. #1 First, I'd like to thank the xda community for all of your help! This is the first time I've worked on an Android device. I started working on my niece's Kindle fire about 4 hours ago and everything I've read has been from this forum. She is leaving the country tomorrow morning and I would like for her to have her Kindle Fire working before she leave (which is why I'm turning to you guys). Here is what I know so far about the Kindle:FFF v1.4aTWRP v2.1.1I've been using the following tools/utilities (Win 7 64):Kindle Fire Utility 0.9.6Kindle Fire Unbrick V1.0From what she has told me, the Kindle fire was already rooted and had gedeRom installed (along with FFF and TWRP). She decided to change roms and was going to try Glazed. However, after following the instructions on how to prep the Kindle for the flash (wiping cache, dalvik cache, etc.), she wasn't able to mount the SD card on her kindle anymore. My suspicion is she also wiped the SD card because there is nothing on it when I check through the TWRP file manager, but she won't admit it.Now onto the issues. When booting into Normal Boot, FFF loads, tries to boot (obviously there is no ROM to boot to), so it will just simply loop back to the boot loader. When I boot the
