Janelle Monáe deleted a video of her recreating Michael Jackson holding his youngest son, Bigi Jackson, formerly known as Blanket, over a balcony.The Lipstick Lover singer, who is currently on tour in Europe, posted the parody clip on Instagram and swiftly received backlash.In the post, Monáe, who was dressed as the late King of Pop in a red shirt and a short black wig, dangled a robotic dog over the balcony of her hotel.While some fans thought the video was in jest, others believed it was disrespectful to mock Michael, who died at age 50 in June 2009, at such a “low point” in his life.“The fact that @JanelleMonae is so classless now and attacking @JanetJackson brother Michael Jackson who has been dead over 15 years is pathetic and sad. Janelle I hope you never have to face his sister now because what you did was sick and evil and you know it!” wrote one X user.“Not sure what made @JanelleMonae think it was a good idea to re-enact a low point in Michael Jackson’s career 22 years after it happened and 15 years after his death,” added another.“Janelle Monàe lost all my respect today. Feb. 6 -- Michael Jackson, who was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy a decade ago but denied it, says in a new documentary that he still allows children to sleep over at his California ranch, Neverland."Whenever kids come here they always want to stay with me," he said. Jackson allowed the British crew to film him with a 12-year-old boy who said he and his brother had spent a night in the singer's bedroom. "Why can't you share your bed?" Jackson said, holding hands with the 12-year-old and letting him rest his head on his shoulder. "The most loving thing to do is to share your bed with someone."The boy, who says he met Jackson after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, said when he asked to spend the night in the singer's bedroom, Jackson gave him and his brother the bed and slept on the floor himself. In a later interview, Jackson also said he slept on the floor that night, but he added, "I have slept in a bed with many children," including former child actor Macaulay Culkin together with his siblings. He said there was nothing sexual involved: "We go to sleep. I put the fireplace on. I give them hot milk, you know, we have cookies. It's very charming. It's very sweet. It's what the whole world should do."The documentary aired on British television on Monday and is being broadcast exclusively in the United States on ABC's 20/20, on Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET. The interviews were conducted by British journalist Martin Bashir, who is well known for a 1995 interview in which Diana, Princess of Wales, admitted being unfaithful to Prince Charles.Rare Look at Jackson's Own Children — in MasksJackson also allowed the British crew to film him with his own three children: 5-year-old Prince Michael I (who is known as Prince), 4-year-old Paris, and his infant son Prince Michael II, the baby he notoriously dangled from the balcony of a Berlin hotel in November.All three children's faces were covered during filming, the two older ones in feathered masks, the baby in a green veil. Jackson told the filmmakers he never lets his children be seen in public without masks, in order to conceal their identity. Prince and Paris were born during Jackson's three-year marriage to his dermatology nurse, Debbie Rowe. The children live with Jackson at Neverland, his 3,000-acre ranch three hours north of Los Angeles and do not see their mother. According to Bashir, 5-year-old Prince told him firmly, "I haven't got a mommy."Jackson said Rowe prefers that they live with him. "I used to walk around holding baby dolls ... because I wanted children so badly," Jackson said, adding that Rowe wanted to bear children for him "as a present." It was a "lovely gesture," he said. While his older siblings, Prince and Paris Jackson, have made their share of headlines, Bigi has perfected the art of staying out of the spotlight since their father's death in 2009. Most people remember him as the baby Michael famously dangled over a hotel balcony, but beyond that, he's been a mystery. That is, until March 2024, when he shocked everyone by filing an injunction against his grandmother, Katherine Jackson.Katherine stepped in as one of the kids' legal guardians after the King of Pop's untimely demise. In a 2010 interview with NBC News, she assured that the three were doing well and striving for normalcy. "Kids are doing fabulous. They're doing good and they're straight A students," she shared, adding that Bigi, in particular, seems to be the one who has inherited his father's musical talents. "[Bigi], he loves to sing ... He can carry a tune very well and he has rhythm. And he can dance."However, in 2017, the then-87-year-old Katherine decided it was time to step down as co-guardian, citing her age as the main reason. "Given her own age and the fact that [Bigi] is now 15 years old, Katherine feels that T.J. is able to assume all necessary responsibilities the guardianship," court documents obtained by ABC News read. In February 2024, Billboard reported that Sony Music Group had snagged half of the late singer's masters catalog, valued at a jaw-dropping $1.2 billion. While the specifics of the deal remain hush-hush, Sony is believed to have shelled out around $600 million. Katherine wasn't thrilled about this deal and clashed with Michael's estate executors over it, arguing they had no right to authorize the sale. According to documents obtained by People, she believes the catalog could have fetched a more "premium payment." Her objections led to soaring legal fees, which she expects the estate to cover. But Bigi isn't on board with this, thinking that his grandma's efforts are a lost cause and it's unfair for him and his siblings — the true heirs — to bear the burden of what he sees as an uphill battle. "Given those odds, Bigi decided not to waste his resources to participate in an appeal," his attorney said. Katherine, on the other hand, argues that the estate has plenty of cash to cover the fees, with her legal team stating in the filing, "It seems clear to [Katherine] that the Executors are holding all of the assets in the Estate in order to keep control over them, and to avoid the more liberal distribution requirements of the Trust."

Be surprised that White successfully pulled off his hilarious take as Elvis Presley in this John C. Reilly comedy. White is an immensely talented, and versatile, entertainer. His screen time was brief, but while didn't necessarily resemble The King, he had the slur down and freaked Dewey (Reilly) out with his karate moves. Warner Bros. via YouTube This Tim Burton cult film featured everybody from Jack Nicholson to Michael J. Fox to NFL star Jim Brown. Yet, it was Jones' appearance as himself that tends to be talked about often. He survives the Martians' attack on Las Vegas while not even getting his suit wrinkled. The movie closes with Jones' classic "It's Not Unusual," while he danced viewers into the credits with some friendly animals in tow. Jackson, however, showed his comedic side in the mediocre sequel to the massively popular original Men In Black film. Jackson's cameo is brief. Playing "Agent M," he reports into Chief Zed (Rip Torn), but seemed a little perturbed that his boss was not listening to his concerns. Tom Petty ("The Postman") Warner Bros. via YouTube One of the best parts of Petty's cameo as Bridge City Mayor is his dialog with Kevin Costner's title character. "I know you. You're famous," The Postman said. The Mayor responded: "I was once. Sorta. Kinda. Not anymore." Petty's character returns the favor to Costner later on. Just a little fun between two of the world's biggest entertainers, who had mutual respect for each other's work in their respected fields. The Boss, in turn, played along with a random, but entertaining, cameo that somewhat paved the way.
