Real-time visualization of solar wind parameters Below on the chart. For more details on how to read the Dashboard, select the "About this data" link below the chart and buttons. Why is there no consumption data on my Dashboard? Some solar energy systems are not equipped or configured to measure energy consumption. We are actively looking for more solutions to support consumption monitoring. For now, this data is only available for customers with one of the following:a) a CURB monitoring deviceb) a Solaredge HD-Wave inverter with RGM Monitoring enabledc) an Enphase inverter system with current transformersWhy do I see an “Error Loading Data” message? It’s likely that we need additional information (like your inverter key) to access the performance data from your system. Please select Support to contact our Customer Experience Team for assistance. What factors impact my solar energy production?Your custom solar energy solution is designed to optimize production relative to the energy needs of your household and the pitch, size, and orientation of your roof. Once installed, you'll see variations in production based largely on daylight, weather, and season. Clouds, shade, or extreme weather can block sunlight from reaching your solar panels and result in a slight decrease in production. Energy production will be highest when direct sunlight falls on your solar panels. This can happen at different times of the day depending on the pitch and orientation of your roof.In the United States, the sun is low in the winter and high in the summer. As the angle of the sun changes relative to the angle of your solar panels, you’ll likely see seasonal variations in production. Why is the weather included in the App?Weather can have a significant impact on production, so it's important to consider when evaluating the health of your solar energy system. For example, heavy rain may decrease production while cool days with clear skies will likely show an increase in production. While solar panels function best with direct, full sunlight, they are designed to withstand wind, snow, hail, and heat, and will continue to produce power in indirect light. Can I view solar production in dollars instead of Kilowatts so I can compare it to my utility bill? Not at this time. Because electricity costs vary widely based on location, utility company, and rate calculations (flat fee vs. variable rates), it is difficult to provide an accurate comparison between Kilowatt production and dollars saved. That said, we are exploring ways to accurately provide this information. What is theComments

2025-04-23Able to see the northern lights in the sky that night.More technology and higher stakesScientists have an expansive network of space- and ground-based observatories, such as the Parker Solar Probe, Solar Orbiter, the Solar Dynamics Observatory and others, available to monitor the heliosphere – the region surrounding the Sun – from a variety of vantage points. These resources, coupled with advanced modeling capabilities, provide timely and effective ways to investigate how CMEs cause geomagnetic storms. The Sun will reach its solar maximum in the years 2024 and 2025. So, with more complex CMEs coming from the Sun in the next few years and an increasing reliance on space-based infrastructure for communication, navigation and scientific exploration, monitoring these events is more important than ever. Integrating the observational data from space-based missions such as Wind and ACE and data from ground-based facilities such as the e-Callisto network and radio observatories with state-of-the-art simulation tools allows researchers to analyze the data in real time. That way, they can quickly make predictions about what the CMEs are doing. These advancements are important for keeping infrastructure safe and preparing for the next solar maximum. Addressing these challenges today ensures resilience against future space weather. This article was updated to clarify how a compressed plasma sheath interacts with the Earth’s upper atmosphere and magnetic field.

A poorly designed single-axis tracker can result in damage to solar trackers and modules, leading to costly downtime, insurance claims. Our webinar partner Array Technologies will detail its passive wind mitigation system, which allows individual rows to assume a 52° tilt position if winds pick up. Discover an innovative strategy to mitigate risk of damage from wind eventsEnsuring the stability of solar tracking systems and modules during wind events is one of the top concerns of solar site owners, project developers, and EPC contractors. A poorly designed single-axis tracker can result in damage to solar trackers and modules, leading to costly downtime, insurance claims. In this pv magazine webinar, our partner Array Technologies will detail its passive wind mitigation system, which allows individual rows to assume a 52° tilt position. Lucas Creasy and Jon Sharp from Array Technologies take us on a deep dive into Array’s patented approach to what, they say, is a failure-free wind mitigation system in both low and high wind events. Also joining the webinar will be Matthew Brown from wind tunnel laboratory RWDI, who will share his insights on wind tunnel methodology concerning single-axis trackers. Additionally, Brown will tell us about the different flow patterns, turbulence, and vortices that manifest themselves in high-, medium-, and low tilt behavior during strong wind conditions. Brown will also explain the most common load effects that torture trackers in windswept fields.Join our webinar for an explanation of scale model methods for deriving tracker wind loads in a wind tunnel, and of the dangers posed to solar assets by both low and high wind.Webinar Content:Most prominent load effects on single-axis trackersTypical wind mitigation methodsArray’s patented approach to wind mitigation in both low and high wind eventsDifferent flow patterns in different tilt anglesBe part of the conversation!Questions can be submitted beforehand or during the webinar through a chat window. 2025-04-03How can Smart Buildings conserve resources?Monitor. Analyse. Evaluate. Transform. Our mesh network covers deep into buildings with a maximum radius range of 10km. Every building resource is fitted with a smart metre and analysed with our dashboard-style monitoring system. In near real-time, you can see exactly how energy resources are being used in electricity, gas, water, bore well, solar, wind, thermal/solar.It doesn’t stop there. Our IoT network, based on LoRaWan technology, can be overlaid with monitoring and analytics for fire management, panic buttons – the possibilities are endless.Energy MonitoringFor most buildings, the first application we install onto the Mesh Network is Energy Monitoring. Our flagship product named EMMA gives you real-time data so you can measure, evaluate and optimise your energy usage. How does it help? For example, if a leak were to happen on an external pipe outside the building, a facilities manager might not realise the fault until Monday morning when pooling water is observed. With our system, EMMA alerts within 30 minutes that the water usage in that area has spiked far above your normal baseline. With the fault discovered and fixed quickly, the cost savings are immediate.Safety MonitoringSAM is a Smart Building solution for the safety equipment within buildings – the fire alarm system, sprinklers and so on.Each piece of safety equipment in a building – fire doors, lifts, alarm sounders, etc. – are equipped with safety monitoring. Through comprehensive data analytics – all centralised in a dashboard – faults within the safety system can be tested and identified through fire alarm drills immediately. Every piece of burned toast is a test!Nothing impacts business continuity faster than a fire alarm. With SAM, you have far greater visibility into what is happening with your safety equipment, and faults or errors can be rectified immediately.News & BlogMeet the designer: Solarmazing solar-powered window blindsDevelopment, iTouch iTouch Smart Tech has employed BigSmall Design, a well-known Belfast product design company, to assist with finalising our Solarmazing Blinds.
