And from this years lot, one place I expect to see a lot more of is Takumi Taco. While the combination of Japanese and Mexican may sound at first like mixing ice cream and ketchup, these guys have it down to a delicious science. Think Beef Curry Nachos, Spicy Tuna Tacos and Yuzu Avocado Guacamole. Currently you can find them at both Smorgasburg in Williamsburg and Starrett Lehigh in Chelsea. Below is what I’ve tried:Short Rib Nachos Short rib is often either too fatty or too dry, but the preparation here was perfect. Plus they get bonus points for doing it in a mobile location.
