The drums in the introduction, though only four seconds long, are used in various hits like Kid Rock’s “Bawitdaba”; Drake’s “Forever” featuring Eminem, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West; and Mark Morrison’s “Return of the Mack.” The song was especially popular with ’80s New York hip-hop artists like Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, and Run-DMC, who each sampled it on numerous tracks.#1. ‘Good Times’ by Chic– Year released: 1979– Samples: 217With 217 confirmed samples, “Good Times” by Chic is not only the most-sampled disco song—it’s one of the 100 most-sampled songs ever. Barkley went on to sign with the Eagles, and embarked on the ultimate revenge tour. He led the NFL in rushing and is slated to play in the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, the Giants limped to a 3-win season. Ouch!As queer people, we can identify with any underdog story. And Barkley is easy to root for. When Carl Nassib publicly came out as gay, he was one of his biggest cheerleaders and expressed unvarnished support for his fellow Penn State alum. “I’m just happy for him. He found his peace, he’s doing what he loves, and he’s able to announce the way he loves,” he said in an interview. “Hopefully one day, it doesn’t need to be announced, it’s just kind of something that’s the norm in the NFL.” “I think with [Nassib], and obviously with Michael Sam in the years before, and other athletes in other sports, if that’s the way that they feel, that they’re able to come out and have no words behind it. Deeper dive: When existing within a sapphic context, lesbian boyfriend is completely dislocated from its heteronormative meaning. The term does not necessarily encompass a masculine-presenting person or someone who takes up stereotypically masculine tasks – the only requirement to being a lesbian boyfriend is that one feels comfortable being labelled as such. Shana’s word: 50/50 Myth50/50 Myth. Noun. A misconception that is harmful to the LGBTQ+ community, especially the bisexual community. The 50/50 myth is when folks assume that if you are bisexual you equally like men as much as women (or vice versa).Used in a sentence: Most bisexual people don’t experience attraction in a 50/50 split, like a bisexual woman who mostly dates men, but also enjoys being with women on occasion.
