Setelah itu, pembangunan konflik cerita dalam film ini pun terasa sangat padat dan rapi hingga bagian ending-nya. The Three Musketeers (1993) First place easily goes to Disney's 1993 adaptation full of stars like Tim Curry and Charlie Sheen. This version makes for a fun film for the entire family. It changes up the traditional story of the musketeers and adds a few twists to make it interesting for those who are familiar with the book. 2. The Man in the Iron Mask (1998) Although this is not the normal story of the Musketeers, it is based off one of Dumas' sequels. With Leonardo DiCaprio as the lead and Jeremy Irons as Aramis, this movie is full of wonderful actors that bring this story to life. They also have the best Musketeer uniforms of any of the films. 3. The Three Musketeers (1948) A great adaptation that sticks to the original story of the musketeers and properly develops the characters in a way that would make Dumas proud. While most people know Gene Kelly from Singing in the Rain, he originally starred in this film years before. Something to watch when you want to relax and not have to think about the plot of the movie. Chris O'Donnell is impish if a bit callow in the lead but the real show is musketeers anyway and there is where the movie excels. Keifer is suitably brooding as Athos and Charlie Sheen, before he became a surly twitchy mess, is a charming Aramis. The standout however is Oliver Platt going full on ham as Porthos giving a delightfully over the top performance and walking off with the picture whenever he is on screen. Rebecca De Mornay also seems to be having a good time enacting the villainous Milady de Winter, she's sexy and silky. Lastly there is Tim Curry positively consuming the scenery as Cardinal Richelieu, in his flowing red robes he and Oliver Platt are in a dead heat for biggest scene stealer.
