Summary Soon, World of Warcraft will allow cross-faction groups to queue for LFG instances, opening up more gameplay options for players. This development marks a major milestone towards full cross-faction play in WoW, promoting inclusivity among factions. While not in the initial launch, full cross-faction queuing may arrive in a post-launch update, potentially in Patch 11.0.5. World of Warcraft has plans to let full cross-faction groups queue for automated LFG instances some time after The War Within’s release. While there is no timetable for this update, this major milestone towards full cross-faction play in World of Warcraft is seemingly in the works. In Shadowlands Patch 9.2.5, World of Warcraft pulled the ripcord on cross-faction play. After years of being unable to do so, Alliance and Horde players can now enter dungeons, raids, and even PvP together. However, cross-faction groups are currently unable to use the automatic LFG tool, as the developers want to make sure fans aren’t forced to play with characters from the opposite faction. Related World of Warcraft Devs Make Their Pitch To Returning Players Game Rant chats with the World of Warcraft development team about the ways they seek to bring returning players back into the fold for The War Within. That said, it seems like World of Warcraft may be letting cross-faction groups use this tool in some fashion in the future. During a recent group interview to celebrate the launch of World of Warcraft: The War Within, WoW production manager Michael Bybee confirmed the team was working on a way to allow cross-faction instance queues for fully formed groups. “They've already opted into that cross-faction behavior and then they can then play in a cross-faction group as long as they're queued up as a full group,” he said. As long as players are in a full group, this will allow them to complete dungeons without physically going to the instance and entering it manually. “It's not gonna be in the initial launch, but we're talking about that being something potentially post-launch, hopefully soon, and I'm super jazzed about it.” Cross-Faction LFG Queue for Full Parties in WoW Soon This is an important feature, as certain event instances, such as holiday bosses or Timewalking dungeons, are currently impossible to do across factions. Adding this capability will open up nearly every aspect of the game for cross-faction, with the only things still locked in World of Warcraft

Summary World of Warcraft Patch 10.2.5 introduces Follower Dungeons soon, but the feature will have a daily limit of 10 instances per account, likely to prevent abuse and server overload. Some players are unhappy with this limitation as it limits their dungeon gameplay, but the restriction may be adjusted in the future. Despite the limit, players still have on average around five hours of Follower Dungeon time each day, and there are other activities to try in the new patch. The new Follower Dungeons feature in World of Warcraft Patch 10.2.5, Seeds of Renewal, will have a daily limit of 10 instances per account. This limit is ostensibly being created to prevent the new feature from being abused and the servers from being overloaded, all while fighting bots in World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft is introducing Follower Dungeons in Patch 10.2.5, which releases on January 16. This new feature allows players to enter Normal difficulty Dragonflight dungeons with a team of popular World of Warcraft NPCs, letting them avoid long queue times, try out new roles and specializations, and clear these instances at their own pace. It's not gonna be in the initial launch, but we're talking about that being something potentially post-launch, hopefully soon, and I'm super jazzed about it.” This is a net positive for World of Warcraft, as it only adds new ways for fans with cross-faction friends to enjoy the game, and it does not force anyone to participate. Guilds have already become cross-faction and cross-realm, so this will enable players to play with their guildmates much easier than before. There is no schedule for when this feature will arrive, but it could arrive as early as World of Warcraft Patch 11.0.5 if players are lucky. Of course, some fans hope World of Warcraft eventually adds full cross-faction queuing to the game. While some faction loyalists are against this, proponents have suggested adding a toggle to enable players to opt in to the function while solo or in a cross-faction group, allowing partial groups to queue for instances together, regardless of faction. Patch 1.12 is the World of Warcraft Classic patch

Tuesday always means maintenance day for World of Warcraft fans, but today is a big one because The War Within patch 11.1 is rolling out. The first major patch of an expansion is always an exciting one, and this one is more so because we’re headed to Undermine, home of the Goblins. It’s a place we’ve heard about before, but this is our first chance to explore it — and, hopefully, liberate it from the rule of Gallywix in the Liberation of Undermine raid opening next week. But all of this excitement does make for a long maintenance.Today The War Within servers will be down for a full eight hours, while the WoW Classic realms will only have a quick one hour maintenance. Here’s the exact times for today’s maintenance:The War Within servers will be offline from 7am – 3pm pacific (10am – 6pm eastern)WoW Classic servers (including Classic Era, Cataclysm Classic, Season of Discovery, Anniversary, and Hardcore) will be offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)All WoW servers are back online, as scheduled, though I can report some stability problems. Blizzard says the authentication servers are having problems, so you may have trouble getting online (and it’s up in the air whether you’ll stay online if you do). As always, expect some UI issues post-patch and be sure to update your addons before logging on (and be prepared to turn them off if they don’t work). While Classic players will be more or less free to go about their gaming as normal, players on modern realms will have to find a way to kill most of the day, but fortunately the servers came back online on time, without any extra delays. Still, if you need a distraction from the world (of Warcraft or otherwise), our weekly game. To access the second Well of Eternity. The original timeline (before the War of the Ancients Trilogy) put the creation and blessing of Nordrassil to year 9,000, 1,000 years after the Great Sundering.[28][29] According to the Trilogy and newer sources, it happened right after the Sundering.[30][31]According to Malfurion, Nordrassil could be restored in time.[32]While Nordrassil has been referred to as the first World Tree,[33] Oakheart is stated to be an offshoot of Shaladrassil that has purportedly survived the Great Sundering,[34] which in turn suggests that Shaladrassil predated the Sundering. This would make Shaladrassil older than Nordrassil, as Nordrassil was only planted after the Sundering.Nordrassil, the World Tree is almost certainly a reference to the World Tree of Norse mythology, Yggdrasil. Their names are similar, they both have wells underneath them: the Well of Eternity beneath Nordrassil, and the Well of Urd beneath one of the roots of Yggdrasil. Also Nidhoggr, a dragon, gnawed at the roots of Yggdrasil, which could reference back to either Deathwing or Archimonde. These parallels only apply to Nordrassil, the first World Tree, and not Teldrassil, Vordrassil, or Shaladrassil. When the in-game view distance setting is set to its maximum, Nordrassil can be seen from as far away as southern Dustwallow Marsh.Nordrassil's roots spread far beyond the immediate vicinity of the tree itself, and are visible running through the mountainside in other zones such as Winterspring.Gallery[] Nordrassil, prior to Archimonde's ascent, in the Twilight of the Gods Warcraft III mission. Malfurion's call for wisps to defend Nordrassil, in the Eternity's End Warcraft III cinematic. Prior to Cataclysm, the skeleton of Archimonde could be seen on Nordrassil in the then closed zone. Nordrassil as seen in The Burning Crusade in the Caverns of Time on Hyjal Summit. Art Nordrassil on the map of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos missions.
